Having gone through a major rethink of some of our manufacturing strategies and given new technical possibilities, it was decided in the summer of 2010 to acquire a new processing centre for prismatic components from all kinds of applications.

We decided upon a DMG CTX 500 Beta lathe. With the 12 driven tool stations of the VDI40 revolver, we can now complete highly complex turning jobs in a single clamping operation. In keeping with our previous machines, we decided in favour of the Heidenhain Plus-IT contouring control. As of now, we can turn parts up to a diameter of 65 mm from bar stock, or up to a diameter of 250 mm as chuck parts up to a length of 500 mm.

Furthermore, we equipped two of our other CNC machining centres with zero-point tooling systems. Unlike our robot-loaded machines, these will not be loaded with parts by robots for the moment.
