15 June 2012 marked the passage of 20 years and 1 month since Knut Bonsack laid the foundation stone for the present company Bonsack in Brotterode, Thuringia. What started as a simple tool shop had by the mid-1990s developed into a specialist for automation solutions for the automotive industry. For nearly 5 years now, Bonsack Präzisionstechnik GmbH has expanded the range to sophisticated precision parts.

Today, we are solidly built on 3 pillars: Our Toolmaking department is going as strongly as ever – its core competence being the manufacture of tool components for practically all types of tool. Our Automation Engineering department develops and manufactures efficient production systems for just about all areas of industrial series production, and our mechanical manufacturing department has matured into a problem solver for highly complex precision parts for nearly all high-tech industries. Customers, partners and other interested parties had the opportunity to see all three core competencies on location at our open-house exhibition. The visitors were offered a technical tour and lectures on the development of automotive lighting engineering, the global situation in precision parts manufacture, efficient CAM programming and the development of an electric racing car.

Summing up, we can look back on a successful day that was very well received by all. The visitors got a good look at the versatile capacities of our group as a system supplier in a festive setting. The day was also nicely rounded off for staff and families with our in-house anniversary celebration.
